Roofline and Rainwater Systems

One effective way to add value to your property and create a new look is to update your fascias, soffits and guttering. With a vast array of styles and colours to choose from, you can add a whole new dimension to your property.

Our System

For us, when we re-do fascias and soffits, the most important thing is to supply our customers with a reliable working system that will last. Which is why we will always require a scaffold to do the job properly. Our system requires that we remove the first 2 rows of tiles, release the first lath and supply a new damproof membrane to go underneath the existing felt. This is the first step to making the eaves water tight. we use a “replacement” fascia board, not a “cappit” as it’s 10mm thicker to fully support the weight of the eaves tiles. This is then fitted with an over fascia vent, so no soffit vents are required as these collect dirt and can ruin the look. Vents are very important to a working system to allow airflow through the loft space to help remove any condensation. Bird Combes are then fastened to the vent, to secure the damproof and stop any small feathered intruders from nesting under your tiles. The damproof hangs in the gutter, the tiles are re-fitted and the system is complete.

Fascias, soffits and gutters come in many colours, below is a lovely combination of rosewood fascias with white hollow soffits and brown square gutters

Most commonly, people opt for white fascias with white flat board soffit and white square gutters, as this blends with most house environments and is a timeless classic

Hollow soffit can be used to cover large porch areas as seen in these examples. It slots in together and creates a neat stylish finish
