Condensation

People often come to us in the winter reporting leaks on the edges of their rooms. Quite often we identify this as condensation as the loft has been insulated, but not properly into the eaves.

Fiberglass Valleys

Tired lead valleys can often develop cracks and leak. Often contractors will replace valleys with a ‘dry’ valley which means there is no mortar used. We have found that over time these develop problems as the get clogged up with moss, leaves and dirt which can cause a blockage and a build up of water can leak inside. this why we prefer to use a ‘wet’ fibreglass valley in all of our installations which simply means it is mortared. This ensures there is a big valley trough so no build up is allowed and the system works for longer.

General leaks and damp patches

Often we get called out to identify leaks. These can be anything from a broken tile to damaged flashings. All of which we can survey and quote to repair.

Ridge and hip tiles

We can re-bed and re-point your existing ridge tiles which to be done properly includes completely removing them, clearing away the existing mortar and rebidding them. We can also supply and fit new ridge tiles with dry ridge systems, where no mortar is used and the tiles are mechanically fixed.

Arris hips and Bonnets

On traditional style roofs using rosemary tiles, quite often they use Arris hips (top) or Bonnets (bottom). Often people confuse these and re-fit them in the wrong way. We can competently identify and repair both of these hip systems.

Verge Tiles

You can choose to have your verge tiles re-bedded and re-pointed with mortar (top right) or choose one of the dry verge options on the market. Depending on your tile you could possibly have a stylish continuous dry verge (bottom), or individual dry verge caps (top left).
